Lance deHaven-Smith is a professor of public administration and policy at Florida State University, which he joined in 1994.[1]

Career

Lance deHaven-Smith was an infantry rifleman in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He began his teaching career in 1981 as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Florida Atlantic University.

SCADs

Lance deHaven-Smith coined the word "SCAD" (State Crime Against Democracy) to facilitate discussion of deep politics.[2]
