Jonathan Kwitny was a researcher.

He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism at the University of Missouri's School of Journalism in 1962, and a master's degree in history at New York University in 1964.

His reporting exposed the corrupt activities of several people who worked for Ronald Reagan. As a result of his investigations, Richard V. Allen (National Security Adviser) and J. Lynn Helms (Federal Aviation Administrator) were forced to leave office. He also showed that George H. W. Bush broke both US and Mexican law while running Zapata Oil[1]
