Craig Murray Justice Campaign
In its own words:
"Defending Free Journalism, Campaign for Free Journalism"
The Craig Murray Justice (CMJ) Campaign blog started in June 2021 in response to the sentencing by Scottish judge Lady Dorrian of Craig Murray to eight months in jail for contempt of court.[1]
Craig Murray handed himself over to the police in Edinburgh on 1 August 2021, and was imprisoned in Saughton Jail.[2]

Press release
On 29 July 2021, the CMJ campaign tweeted:
Craig Murray to be first person incarcerated in the UK over media contempt case in 50 years, setting dangerous legal precedent for freedom of speech and equality before the law.[3]
CMJ committee
The CMJ committee is an international alliance of friends and supporters who have set themselves the task of campaigning and advocating for justice for Craig Murray and the continued upholding of freedom of speech laws in Scotland, the UK and Europe. We believe that beyond the charges being made against Craig Murray the legal implications of this case do not only violate Human Rights but also seek to limit free speech and the ability for fair and balanced coverage of court cases.
