Organism cloning (also called reproductive cloning) refers to the procedure (a number of different processes) of creating a new multicellular organism (biological entity), genetically identical to another.[1]

Public attention was directed at the sheep Dolly, which was the first animal to be a clone of another in 1996.[2] A number of other animals were cloned, including pigs, goats, rats, mice, dogs, horses, and mules.[3]
