In 2015, after 4½ years as a communications and IT specialist, William McNeilly published a 18-page report online claiming the UK's nuclear deterrent was a "disaster waiting to happen".[1] It detailed 30 flaws, 27 of which he had witnessed personally.[2]

Arrest

He was arrested at Edinburgh airport on May 18, 2015.[3] The charges against him were dropped, but he was given a dishonourable discharge in June 2015.[2]
