Wilfred Jones CMG OBE (born 29 November 1926) was a member of HM Diplomatic Service who was High Commissioner to Botswana from 1981 until he retired in 1986.[1]

Wilfred Jones joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1949. From 1950 to 1966 he was posted to Tamsui, Jedda, Brussels and Athens. Jones was appointed First Secretary and served at the British High Commissions in Canberra, Blantyre and Lilongwe, and at the embassy in Copenhagen. He returned to the FCO in London from 1977 to 1981.[2]
