Robert Shetterly is an artist who, in response to the US government's actions after the 9/11 events, produced a series of portaits entitled "Americans Who Tell the Truth". He intended this to be a series of 50 paintings, but by 2013, included more than 180 portraits. In 2005, he produced a book by the same title, which Alan Dershowitz referred to as "propaganda" and as "a form of literary child abuse".
