Director of the United States Diplomatic Security Service

The United States Diplomatic Security Service (DSS or DS) is the law enforcement and security arm of the U.S. Department of State. Its primary mission is to protect diplomatic assets, personnel, and information and combat visa and passport fraud. The agency also undertakes counterterrorism, counterintelligence, cybersecurity, and criminal investigations both domestically and abroad.

The Director of the DSS is also the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, reporting to an Assistant Secretary of State.[1]
