Paul Moder is a scriptwriter and film producer who had a 25 year career in the Australian entertainment industry. He wanted to make a documentary about the Port Arthur Massacre and Martin Bryant, for which he was criticized in the Australian press.

He had to cancel plans for the documentary and choose to make a feature film project. In replies to an announcement trailer on his Youtube channel he wrote in the replies:

Hi all,

I am the producer of WASP - The Port Arthur Massacre. Just to update you all. It's been a challenge trying to get my film funded. I'd previously pitched it to both Justin Kurzel (Snowtown director) and Stan, both of whom declined. Now they are producing their own mainstream story version entitled 'Nitram' which won't question the tragedy and will not even depict the shooting. I am currently producing a more commercial horror feature to aid financing WASP as my version WILL be made. And yes, it will cover all the discrepancies, anomalies and unanswered questions. I am good friends with two of the survivors, one of whom took a bullet on the day and who confirmed to me 100% the person who shot them was not Martin Bryant. I've researched Port Arthur for 6 years, gone very deep and discovered much to discount the mainstream story. So, keep the faith and thank you for your support, it means a lot. Stan's BS version will be released soon and I will counter with mine in due course. NEVER give up searching for the truth.

@McVeigh thinks you're sus. Well, I'm certainly up against the powers that be, so WASP will most likely be done independently and will take some time to get up. I've just finished principal photography on Shannon Young's new horror thriller 'Stricken' but I'm planning to shoot WASP in 2022. Martin has declined health wise on all levels in prison. They will never let him out, or let him be reexamined or interviewed. I tried to see him in Risdon, but my application was denied before I even formally applied and my letter to him was siezed as a 'risk to prison security' It's a cover up and a denial of basic human rights.

@undeadkid101 101 Assuming a lot given you haven't even read the script. Believe what you wish, but after 6 years of exhaustive research, I believe I'm in a position to make the film I've chosen to make. By the way, it's crock, not croak and there's no 'romance' in my depiction. You may like your films safe, sanctioned and palatable, but violence is never that, nor should it be treated that way. Save your judgement until you see the film, or don't, your choice.

@McVeigh thinks you're sus. For an imbecile with a 66 IQ, he orchestrated the biggest mass shooting event in world history at the time, including multiple assault points, escape routes, hostages, decoying police and establishing a siege location. Modern day terrorists wish they could be that dumb.
