The International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) is the first centre to be established at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, and is part of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. It is run by Rohan Gunaratna and is advised by a veritable who's who of the terrorism industry and intelligence officials from the US, UK and Israel. It states that:
