Extreme right-wing organization, possibly linked to Gladio. |
The Wehrsportgruppe Hoffmann (Military Sports Group Hoffmann) was a paramilitary organization founded by neo-Nazi Karl-Heinz Hoffmann. It was the largest group of this kind in the history of Germany.[1]
Members were involved in the Oktoberfest attack,[2] and the murder of Jewish publisher and former chairman of the Nuremberg/Erlangen Israelite community Shlomo Lewin and his partner Frieda Poeschke.[3]
There is speculation about the group's links to the stay-behind network Gladio.[4][5]
