Rey Omar Rivera was found dead inside the Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore (at the time 32-year-old) on May 24, 2006, after he went missing on May 16.
Rivera and his wife Allison had relocated from California to Baltimore to work for his longtime friend Porter Stansberry [1] as a writer and videographer for Stansberry's investment company, Stansberry & Associates Investment Research, a subsidiary of Agora Publishing.[2]
Rivera had stopped working for the company six months prior to his death in May 2006, but according to Stansberry, did freelance work for another subsidiary of Agora Publishing.[3]
A note that he left, generally referred to as his death note, made allusions to Freemasonry and said that he and others are in involved in a game.[4][5][6][7]
