Joe Glenton is former defence journalist. He was a British soldier for six years, serving in Afghanistan. His book, "Soldier Box", was published in 2013.[1]
AWOL
In March 2010, Joe Glenton was sentenced to 9 months imprisonment having joined the British Army in 2004 and going absent without leave in 2007 after serving with the Royal Logistic Corps in Afghanistan. The court martial was told that Glenton, who later campaigned against 2001 invasion of Afghanistan, had suffered from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after his first tour of duty. He was released from a military prison in Colchester in July 2010.[2]
Anti-war campaign
