He received a BA from Yale University in 1939 and medical degree from the University of Chicago in 1945.[1]
Career
Lieutenant Charles Savage at Bethesda Naval hospital, was appointed (by Dr. Theodor Benzinger) head of the top secret mind control program, Project CHATTER, which began in the fall of 1947. This was the first known research into LSD for the purposes of "mind control".
From 1988 to 1992 he was a pyschiatrist for the US Virgin Island Department of Health. He published 50 papers on psychopharmacology and psychoanalysis.[1]
Later Activities
He later became a missionary to Guatemala.[1]
