Reprieve is a not-for-profit organisation which works against the death penalty, with a particular focus on legal support for those facing the death penalty or held in secret prisons around the world. The Reprieve organisation was founded in the UK in 1999, and there are also organisations in the United States, Australia and the Netherlands, with additional supporters and volunteers worldwide.[1]
