The claimed independent status makes the EHRC very useful for underhanded political work |
In December 2020, Kishwer Falkner, Baroness Falkner of Margravine was appointed Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
Former Chair of the EHRC David Isaac received substantial sums of money from a law firm that advises the Conservative government, the Star discovered. Isaac was paid £500 for each day he does work for the EHRC, but his main job is as an equity partner at City law firm Pinsent Masons. The EHRC under Isaac contributed to the deep state campaign against Jeremy Corbyn.
