The vice-chancellor of Austria is a member of the Government of Austria and is the deputy to the Chancellor. It is functionally equivalent to a deputy prime minister in other countries with parliamentary systems.
Three vice-chancellors have attended Bilderberg meetings. Hannes Androsch was a member of the Bilderberg Steering committee and attended ten conferences between 1974 and 1988. Erhard Busek attended in 1982, Wolfgang Schüssel in 1984.
