The James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF) is an American organisation focused on the paranormal, pseudoscientific and the supernatural, which was founded in 1996 by magician and skeptic James Randi.

JREF's mission is to educate the public and the media on the dangers of accepting unproven claims, and to support research into paranormal claims in controlled scientific experimental conditions.

In September 2015, JREF decided it would change to a grant-making foundation.[1]

In 2006, Morag Kerr returned to live in Scotland and teamed up with Adam Larson (aka "Caustic Logic") on the JREF forum where they shifted their focus to the December 1988 Lockerbie bombing.[3]
