Robert Martinage was acting Undersecretary of the Navy, who "stepped down after his boss, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, asked for his resignation “following a loss of confidence in [his] abilities to effectively perform his duties”" following either a corruption probe[1] and/or an “inappropriate personal relationship” with a female subordinate.[2]
