In 1960 the SDECE assassinated Cameroonian independence leader Félix-Roland Moumié in Geneva.
In 1978 Le Monde alleged that "under Marenches' leadership, terrorism and also disinformation - the influencing of public opinion - were extensively pursued (by the SDECE)"
Funding
Alfred McCoy writes in The Politics of Heroin in Southeast Asia that the SDECE financed all of its covert operations during the Indochina War from its control of the Indochina drug trade.
