Career
Bruner served for 27 years as a field operations officer in the Central Intelligence Agency. His primary area of expertise is the Middle East and he speaks both Arabic and French. He was CIA Station Chief in Baghdad, Algiers and Tunis. He worked with the Palestinian National Authority after the Oslo Accords. He was also Deputy National Intelligence Officer for the Middle East in the CIA’s National Intelligence Council.
