Sam Wheeler is a member of the Manchester Gorton Constituency Labour Party, is a representative on Unite the Union’s Regional Young Workers Committee and was formerly a Momentum Steering Committee member.[1]
Sam Wheeler is a firm supporter of Leader of the Labour Party and made the introductory speech at the launch in Salford of Jeremy Corbyn's 2016 leadership campaign.[2]
Wheeler is the leading contender to succeed the late Sir Gerald Kaufman MP and to stand as the Labour party candidate in the 2017 Manchester Gorton by-election.[3]
