The Gleiwitz Incident' was a false flag attack, planned by the Nazis' Operation Himmler. It was used as the cascus belli for WWII against Poland.
The Russian Red Army also carried out a false flag in 1939, the Shelling of Mainila, as a casus belli for the Winter War which was launched 4 days later.
Exposure
Alfred Naujocks testified at the Nuremberg Trials about this.
