Charlotte Rose is one of two Independent candidates at the Clacton by-election on 9 October 2014.[1]
On Twitter, she describes herself thus:
- I am a sex worker and sexual trainer. I am so passionate about what I do I want to help others to enjoy better sex with sex advice."
Nominations closed
When nominations closed on 16 September 2014, Charlotte Rose was listed among eight official candidates at the by-election on 9 October 2014.[2] Douglas Carswell was elected as UKIP's first MP with 21,113 votes, while Charlotte Rose came last with just 56 votes.
Sex worker
Challenged on Twitter as to whether she was the #IndependentSexWorker in the Clacton by-election, Charlotte Rose replied:
