Wilhelmsen during the period 1958–2000 and was also a board member of several companies such as the shipyard Akers Mekaniske, Andresens Bank and Norsk Brændselolje.[1] He was member of the Conservative Party, Høyre Board member Norwegian Shipowners' Association.
