Commander Ali Dizaei is a former UK policeman who after being disgraced as a policeman underwent "remarkable metamorphosis from convicted corrupt police chief to tycoon with a portfolio of business interests including a security firm and an import-export company specialising in his native Iran."[1]

Conviction

Dizaei was jailed in 2010 for 4 years after being convicted of perverting the course of justice and misconduct in public office after framing an innocent man.[2]

Business

Ali Dizaei started DKW Ltd. In 2018 a Daily Mail article was headlined Not bad for a shamed copper! Jailed and thrown out of the police in disgrace for framing an innocent man - yet former Yard chief Ali Dizaei now lives in a £5m house and drives a convertible Rolls-Royce. It noted that "In 2015, a court heard that Dizaei had 'considerable debts' and had been unable to find work since leaving prison."[1] After he tweeted a photo of dining with Mel Gibson, The Sun reported that he "has reinvented himself as an entrepreneur that wines and dines with Hollywood stars."[3]
