Charlotte Rose is one of two Independent candidates at the Clacton by-election on 9 October 2014.[1]
On Twitter, she describes herself thus:

Nominations closed
When nominations closed on 16 September 2014, Charlotte Rose was listed among eight official candidates at the by-election on 9 October 2014.[2] Douglas Carswell was elected as UKIP's first MP with 21,113 votes, while Charlotte Rose came last with just 56 votes.

Challenged on Twitter as to whether she was the #IndependentSexWorker in the Clacton by-election, Charlotte Rose replied:
