Pros
- Presents a lot of information in a small space
- Updates without human intervention
- Familiar to our readership
Cons
- Updating does not happen often enough, so Special:RecentChanges is a better way to list new edits.
- The design was intended to render as a single tabstrip, but does not so on all browsers.
- Most of the content doesn't change much, only the 'recent edits' tab does
- The tooltip is not visible to touch screen devices
Improvements
- Updating frequency might be improved by running a cron job to clear the jobs queue.
- Some page content, e.g. Description, could be added,
- Pages that don't have an icon could be excluded
