Classic

• Test:Main Page/Classic - In use since 2014

Pros

• Presents a lot of information in a small space
• Updates without human intervention
• Familiar to our readership

Cons

• Updating does not happen often enough, so Special:RecentChanges is a better way to list new edits.
• The design was intended to render as a single tabstrip, but does not so on all browsers.
• Most of the content doesn't change much, only the 'recent edits' tab does
• The tooltip is not visible to touch screen devices

Improvements

• Updating frequency might be improved by running a cron job to clear the jobs queue.
• Some page content, e.g. Description, could be added,
• Pages that don't have an icon could be excluded
