The mayor is the highest elected official in Atlanta, Georgia Since its incorporation in 1847, the city has had 61 mayors.
William Craig Campbell was the 57th Mayor of Atlanta from January 1994–January 2002.[1] He was the third African-American mayor in the city's history. Accused of corruption during his time in office, he was convicted for tax evasion in 2006 and spent 16 months in federal prison.[2]
Kasim Reed, Mayor of Atlanta 2010-2018, attended the 2014 Bilderberg conference. At the time he was a potential candidate to high office, before he was charged with bribery in 2017.
