Brigadeer-Geneneral Aryeh Shalev was placed "in charge of research in Military Intelligence following the Six Day War, and served in this position for the next seven years, during the War of Attrition and the Yom Kippur War."[1]
Career
Aryeh Shalev "bears responsibility for the most serious mistake made by the department which he heads and therefore he cannot continue to serve in MI," the committee found. In 1974 he was transferred and appointed Governor of Judea and Samaria. In 1976 he retired from the IDF. In 1977 he joined the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies and was appointed a senior researcher for national security."[1]
