Thomas Michael Bowers was Head of US Private Wealth Management division of Deutsche Bank. He lent money to both Jeffrey Epstein[2] and Donald Trump[3]. He "was among the individuals who they [the FBI] hoped to interview about Epstein’s finances"[4] but he died on 19 November 2019,[5] reportedly by hanging himself at his home in Malibu, California.

Career

Bowers was boss of Rosemary Vrablic[6], who later handled hundreds of millions for Donald Trump as a condition of being appointed in 2006 bypassed a layer of management to report directly to Bowers.[7]

"Bowers headed the private wealth banking division for Deutsche Bank and signed off on millions in loans to Epstein. Bowers, prior to taking over the private banking arm at Deutsche Bank, served in the same top position at Citibank, as the head of the bank’s private wealth arm."[8]

Death

The Los Angeles coroner reported that Bowers hanged himself[9]. On 26th November acquaintance David Enrich (a New York Times reporter) tweeted about Bowers' death. This resulted in a number of stories on the internet in the next week or so.[10][11][12]
