I am the author of nine non-fiction books, concentrating on biography and social history, from the Gilded Age to the present; as well as one novel. Formerly the Features Editor at Town & Country; Editor-at-large at ELLE, and Style Features Editor at Mirabella magazines, I now focus on writing books. I was educated at Bryan Mawr College, where my major was English, and at the Dalton School in New York.
