Open-source intelligence (OSINT) is the collection and analysis of data gathered from open sources (covert sources and publicly available information such as websites, social media, news articles, and other publicly accessible data) to produce actionable intelligence. OSINT is primarily used in national security, law enforcement, and business intelligence but also is used by various organizations and individuals to gather insights, monitor trends, assess risks, and make informed decisions.[1][2]
