Megaregions in the US.[1]

A megaregion, or megalopolis (sometimes called supercity), is a large geographic area that includes multiple cities or urban centers, often spanning across national borders. These regions are characterized by high levels of economic integration, population density, and shared infrastructure. They are close/integrated enough that policy in the region is at one point started to be coordinated.

85% of corporate head offices in the US and Canada are overwhelmingly concentrated in the core cities of great megaregions.[2]
