Activities
Charlotte Iserbyt wrote The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, describing the deliberate dumbing down of American children by their education system and "the gradual transformation of our once academically successful education system into one devoted to training children to become compliant human resources to be used by government and industry for their own purposes."[1]
She considered that these changes originated from plans formulated primarily by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Education and Rockefeller General Education Board, and detailed the psychological methods used to implement and effect the changes.[2]
