The British Government has nominated Mr Brian Donaldson as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Madagascar, with residence at Antananarivo. The Malagasy Government has given its agreement to this nomination. Mr Donaldson is expected to take up his appointment in October 2002.
