Hannah Giles is a conservative investigative journalist well known for her role in taking down ACORN.
Career
She attended Florida International University to major in public relations. She is the oldest daughter of Townhall.com columnist Doug Giles. Her partner in the scandal, James O'Keefe portrayed a pimp and she portrayed a prostitute in the ACORN undercover video published by Breitbart.com.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] She conceived of the idea and funded it herself.
ACORN has sued Giles, O'Keefe and Andrew Breitbart for the sum of $2 million. Later reporting said that Giles settled for the payment of $50,000 to former San Diego ACORN worker Juan Carlos Vera.[10]
She created the American Phoenix Foundation to train journalists for investigative work.[11] It closed in 2017.[12]
