Alistair Frame was a member of the Bilderberg Steering committee who seems to have kept a very low profile.
Career
He was CEO of the mining and manufacturing conglomerate Rio Tinto-Zinc Corporation.
He spent 13 years in the nuclear power industry. For part of that time he was director of the reactor and research groups of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. He was also a part-time director of the Central Electricity Generating Board and a nonexecutive director of Plessey. He became a director of Rio Tinto-Zinc Corporation five years after he joined the company in 1968[1]. He moved on to British Steel Corporation in 1983.
Frame joined the Pharmaceutical company Wellcome as deputy chairman in 1989, later chairman, before retiring in 1993 for reasons of ill health.[2]
