Mamuka "Ushangi" Mamulashvili is a Georgian military unit leader who currently commands the Georgian Legion, a military unit formed by mostly ethnic Georgian volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine since 2014.

Maidan 2014 false flag

Mamulashvili is centrally implicated in a false flag massacre of Maidan protesters, which was pivotal in unseating elected President Viktor Yanukovych as part of the 2014 Ukraine coup. He apparently brought the shooters to Maidan Square to "sow some chaos" by opening fire on crowds, and provided sniper rifles for the purpose.[1]

2023 Georgian coup plot

On September 18, 2023, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) accused the Georgian Legion, and its leader Mamuka Mamulashvili, of plotting with Ukrainian intelligence to stage a Coup d'état against the ruling Georgian Dream to restore arrested former president Mikheil Saakashvili.[2]
