Unissant, Inc., formerly b.i.methods or BIMethods, is an American information technology company with offices in Herndon, Virginia and Houston, Texas.[1]

History

Unissant was founded on August 19, 1999 under the name b.i.methods (or BIMethods). The company was a protege to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) under the Treasury Mentor-Protege program.[2]

On May 1, 2010, President & CEO Manish Malhotra announced the company's name had changed to Unissant.[3]

COVID-19

On February 6, 2020, ISeeYouCare announced it had entered a strategic partnership with Unissant for the company’s award-winning Universal Smart Health Card Data Management System, a health tracking technology.[4]

In November 2020, Unissant was awarded a $182.3 million contract to support the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP)’s passenger vetting systems with the Targeting and Analysis Systems Program Directorate (TASPD). This contract was awarded under the National Institutes of Health (NIH) CIO-SP3 Small Business Government Wide Acquisition Vehicle.[5] The company is partnered on the project with Linkware and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

Unissant also won a $47.2 million order to develop analysis and targeting software in addition to managing the CBP's “big data” cluster. Centrifuge and Rock Elm are partnered with Unissant for the second award.[6]

On June 25, 2021, Unissant announced it had won a $37.4 million contract with the Center for Program Integrity under the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) "to provide support services to Electronic Submission of Medical Documentation (esMD)." Chags Health Information Technology (C-HIT) was brought on as a subcontractor.[7]

Unissant's clients include the General Services Administration (GSA), National Science Foundation (NSF), United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), United States Department of Defense (DoD), United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, United States Department of the Treasury and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
