A PMC which profited big in Iraq from the war and then vanished when the going was not good. |
Sabre International Security was a PMC which operated in Iraq. It "employed guards for the Canadian embassy in Kabul. When a bombing left many of them dead or wounded, the company vanished" having only paid of fraction of the insurance it claimed it had taken out for its employees.[1]
Founding
Sabre International Security wsa started by SAS veteran, Thomas Frank McDonald, and funder Namir El Akabi, who took a 77.5% stake in the business.[1]
