Lieutenant-General Igor Anatolyevich Kirillov was appointed Head of Russian Army's Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops in April 2017.
On 17 December 2024, Igor Kirillov and an aide were reported to have been killed by explosives planted in an electric scooter, which was blown up as he left the building he lived in on Ryazansky Prospekt in south-eastern Moscow.[1]
