Alexander von Paleske is a physician and blogger who was born in Lippstadt, West Germany. He served in the German army (Bundeswehr) for two years from 1966, studied law at university, clerked in the Supreme Court of the State of Hessen, and then worked in a private law firm while also studying medicine.
Following his studies in the faculty of medicine at the University of Frankfurt am Main, he worked in several hospitals in Germany.[1]
Southern Africa
In 1987 Dr Paleske moved to Zimbabwe, where he worked for 14 years at the Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo, the country's second-largest city. Von Paleske moved to Botswana in 2001 because the situation in Zimbabwe under the Robert Mugabe government had become intolerable for him. He worked at the Princess Marina Hospital in Gaborone until 2009, and returned to Zimbabwe in 2010.[2]
Books
In September 2012, Alexander von Paleske published a satirical book about controversial German politician Thilo Sarrazin entitled "Über Thilo Sarrazin muss gelacht werden: Satirische Begleitung einer scheinbar unaufhaltsamen Aufmischer-Karriere".[3]
