Zdeněk Bažant has been called the "main defender" of the official narrative of the collapse of the World Trade Center, having published 4 papers about the collapses.[1]
His motivations for this are unclear, though he has received various honorary doctorates and sundry academic titles. In 2015, for example, he was elected a foreign Fellow of the Royal Society.
