History
Native North Americans are believed to have used peyote, often for spiritual purposes, for over 5000 years.
Effects
Researchers from investigators at the University of Alabama at Birmingham published research in 2017 that suggested that peyote use was associated with a decreased likelihood of antisocial criminal behavior.[1]
