Finland

The citizens of Finland voted to dispose of all their country's nuclear waster within the borders of Finland, not to export the problems elsewhere. As of 2010, only Finland had begun construction of a permanent storage facility for disposal of nuclear waste; other countries had only temporary storage.[1]

Fracking

As early as 1964, Halliburton were researching a combined hydraulic fracturing/nuclear waste disposal technique.[2]
