In January 2022, Stewart Rhodes the founder of the anti government militia Oath Keepers was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after being charged with "seditious conspiracy to overthrow the US government" for his alleged involvement in the 2021 Washington D.C. Riots.[1] In May 2023, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison after being convicted on charges of seditious conspiracy and other crimes.[2]
