The University of Wolverhampton is a British university. It goes back to the Wolverhampton and Staffordshire Technical College founded in 1931.

The university in its current form was created in 1969 after a merger with the local art school. There are four university areas: City in downtown Wolverhampton, Compton, Walsall, Telford and ten schools. Wolverhampton is approximately 14 miles from Birmingham.

The training in the field of health professions takes place in cooperation with the New Cross Hospital.
