Iran-Contra

New York Magazine wrote in 1991 that Arif Durrani, the only person imprisoned by the US for involvement in Iran-Contra apparently started a different arms dealing company, also called Merex Corporation, infuriating Gerhard Mertins, founder of the (German) Merex AG.[1]
